Hayes Staff Recruitment

Environmental Policy

Hayes Staff is an independent employment agency operating from offices in Hayes town centre.  Our core business is to supply staff to local organisations.  We accept that our operations result in unnecessary generation of waste, some pollution risks, and emissions to the environment.  It is our aim to reduce the impact we have on the environment, and to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.

This policy describes how we will achieve our aims, in order to be compliant.

Scope

This policy applies to all our operations, including management, accounts, and recruitment.  Nicholas May, Company Secretary  is responsible for ensuring that the policy is implemented, however every employee has a responsibility, in their own area of ensuring that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.

Objectives

Year on year, we aim to:

  • Minimise consumption of electricity, gas and water
  • Inform all our temporary staff of our commitment
  • Ensure our staff are aware of any risks associated with use of chemicals

Targets

To achieve these aims, the company has set the following targets:

  • To always inform all temporary staff and suppliers of the Environmental policy and to all new staff and suppliers.
  • Define good use of IT, to reduce paper and electricity consumption, and ensure all staff receive training where relevant
  • Introduce a separate collection point for recycling cardboard, segregated domestic waste and printer cartridges
