In 2002 Hayes Staff Recruitment became an Umbrella Body Organisation for the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), enabling us to process our temporary employees’ CR8 checks and to offer the service to other associated companies.

At present we provide the CRB checking/administrative service to many outside clients. The CRBs’ requirement on ‘Umbrella Organisations’, is that they must submit at least100 CRB applications each year and achieve a certain level of accuracy at all times.

Hayes Staff Recruitment will issue your organisation with the number of CRB forms that you request. we will also send out the CRB guidance notes for applicants completing forms.

Hayes Staff Recruitment also have to put into place an agreement with yourselves as your ‘umbrella body’. This agreement will state what is expected of both Hayes Staff and you in order for us to process your CRB applications most efficiently. We will also enclose a copy of the CRB Code of Practice and Explanatory guide. You must familiarise yourselves with this and follow the guidance stated in the booklet.
